My Praetorian Legal Nightmare

Praetorian Legal: Welcome to the world of the timeshare resale.

So off we went to Bornemouth to meet Praetorian Legal and were duped again in to handing over large sums of money.

Although it might seem obvious not to hand over any money, Praetorian legal and there Timeshare terminations service were extremely convincing and i'm ashamed to say we was desperate and wanted to sell.
Looking back now the sales pitch really was too good to be true. By this time we had so much Debt so much dispute and were in perpetuity. We was desperate to be free.
We didn't know but Praetorian Legal were associated with scams and when those scams were closed down, they created new scams and in some cases pretending to be a law firm, delivering legal advice and selling  these services.

Praetorian Legal: Fake Indemnity Certificate......

We was given an indemnity certificate but even that turned out to be fake.
"Praetorian legal came up with-one of the most disgusting products, I think I have ever seen"
It was a fake certificate and as this website said here:-
"Have you received one from Praetorian Legal Ltd? If so, you should be alarmed as you are in need urgent advice and have a great need to address the situation quickly."
I then kept getting bills for maintenance fees and were still receieving them today. Theres no confirmation from the timesahre company that I'm out of my timeshare and even though I have the Praetorian Legal Indemnity Certificate they are claiming years of maintenance from me.

We have tried to speak to Praetorian Legal ourselves and have managed to speak to a women in customer services who listened to us and would look at our situation but guess what never got back to us.....

I've never felt so foolish and low in all my life. The stress and worry has made us both ill and we now have so much Debt that well probably never retire.

Worse.....I then found out even more worrying stuff out about Praetorian Legal....,

Praetorian Legal and the Monster Scam

Praetorian Legal where it all began

About 10 years ago we went on a free holiday to Tenerife and we got asked to attend a 2 hour talk......in return for the free holiday. We were taken to a room with about 5 other couples and one guy sat opposite us.

Anyway, 1 and 1/2 hours in he still even hadn’t started to make his sales pitch, instead he was showing us news clippings and stuff about his timeshare company !!

So I looked at my watch and told him he had half an hour left so he better get started and that I'm not buying anything we only came for the free holiday.

Five and a half hours later !!!!!!!!

Tenerife Timeshare and Praetorian Legal

Anyway, the convincing sales patter meant we ended up buying the timeshare. We  bought into to a two bedroom apartment in Tenerife for one fixed-date week in April every year. The resort is lovely and all the staff were friendly and helpful, it was spotlesly clean. Even the loos by the pool side were cleaned regularly throughout the day.

We enjoyed loads of holidays in the resort, even brought an extra week and upgraded to a larger apartment. The trouble started when the timeshare company, was taken over by a larger firm and fees started rising.

When we first brought the timeshare, we paid around £200 a year. This rose to £400 after we'd upgraded and took a second week. But after the new company took over it doubled the maintenance fees, and with the weakened pound we now pay nearly £1000.....

We decided we no longer needed a big apartment and couldn’t afford to keep spend so much a year, so I went to the timeshare company to discuss selling it.

Praetorian Legal and upfront fees

They gave me a list of companies that could sell it on my behalf but they all asked for upfront fees.

We was so desperate that we decided to use a company that they’d recommended called Monster. They promised that if we brought something called Monster credits from them they’d get rid of it for us. We didn’t want the credits but the maintenance fees was so high that we had no choice. We paid £8,000 to Monster and took another loan to fund it.

None of my timeshare and Monster credits were sold, when i complained, Monster took me to Bournmouth to introduce me to a company called Praetorian Legal. Thats when my true nightmare began......
